Went to cheer competition today. Girls got first place. Came home about 5 PM. Left at 7 AM. It was 6 hours on the road for a 2 minute performance but it was nice. Next week to state comp in Yankton.

Today is 5 years and 1 day since I began this job here and I am as excited about it today as I was 5 years ago. Gave tours of the school to alumnae and their families. Will give one more today to another group.
It will be the 4th of July in 2 days and then another summer is down hill until school begins in August.

Finally saw the play today. Kids did a nice job. Daughter acted well. Scenery was great. The big headache was the rip in the main curtain (circa 1930) that occurred middle of Act 1. New chance tonight for the "public" performance.

I am back after a long hiatus. Since my last post I have begun my doctoral studies in Ed Admin and am working to finish my dissertation by the time my daughter graduates from HS in 2009. I'll be back to include more impressions and thoughts about random issues and things that go bump in the night.
